This post is about getting started on Android using a Mac as a development platform. My first target is going to be my Samsung i9000 Galaxy S android mobile phone and my development platform is going to be a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. As I write these lines, I have not yet started, so I hope I am going to get it the first time – don’t laugh! Also, I ‘ll try to follow Wella’s excellent tutorial on Installing the Android SDK, and adapt it whenever is needed, rather than start from scratch. The differences between this post and Wella’s are on the development platform operating system, Windows vs OS X, and the fact that I have a real android device available.
